Do not
Inviolable rules
These mistakes break brand recognition. If a piece requires any of them, the solution is in the layout — not in the logo.
- Do not distort. Never stretch or squash the logo; always resize keeping the proportion.
- Do not change the colors. Use only the primary or the negative version. No red logo, gradient or outline.
- Do not place it on low-contrast backgrounds. Light petrol on deep petrol, for example, has a contrast of only 2.57:1.
- Do not place it on busy photos without a solid color area behind it.
- Do not add effects. No shadow, glow, bevel or 3D.
- Do not rewrite the name in another font, or rearrange the lines of the logo.
- Do not rotate the logo or use it tilted.
When in doubt
Use the negative version on deep petrol (#1b4c64). It is the safest combination, with a contrast of 9.27:1.
